How do you see the landscape right now in the UK, whether it be from the commercial side, just the way the sport's being governed, any particular views that you think are a concern or a Or going well?
11:08
It's interesting.
11:10
The bringing into place of an independent football regulator.
11:15
I've said before that I think football's failed.
11:20
Ultimately, the government has felt that it needed to bring a regulator in.
11:26
I don't think the government understand the unintended consequences of a regulator.
11:34
The two competitions, our primary competitions being the Premier League and the EFL, are in a position at the moment where actually in part they're saying, great, it's somebody else's problem now.
14:25
How do you see that now? Do you think that the visibility now is there or is there still a gap that you're concerned with?

So will you share about your biography, the most salient elements that brings you to our conversation before we dive into it any further?

I'm the founder of Warrior Compassion Institute based here in Philadelphia.
2:54
My background, I would say the trajectory, I'm a former Wall Street consultant.
2:59
We've left at 40.
3:00
I was then went to take a position with Eileen Fisher, the women's fashion company.
3:05
That's where I got the call to work with men.
3:07
Ultimately, I became the head of personal transformation and well-being for the organization before I left.
4:55
employees.
37:51
Mm.
37:52
And then the other part is then moving to Philadelphia, where I am now, was really then I think looking at the state of men, the state of boys.
38:03
We're in the City of Brotherly Love, that could use a little bit more love.
38:08
And to see the real breakdowns on the ground, the disconnection to self, the isolation, the metaphorical homelessness for so many men who, um, don't know where they fit, don't know where they belong, and don't know how to connect.
38:32
And so these have been the, the experiences, and so my work...
38:38
A- and then within these experiences, um, I started meeting extremists along the way, those who've been radicalized to far-right extremism, um, starting in DC and then more fully when I got to Philadelphia.
38:54
And starting to, and, and, and showing me the... what happens when men feel neglected, rejected, or unseen, and the need and search for tribal community, the, the need for a sense of, of, of identity, the need for a sense of connection to self, and what happens when they don't have that.
