SEAL Team 4

I was in a different platoon, a Delta platoon.

And I think we were attached to SEAL Team 4.

And at that point, it doesn't—so this is 03, obviously.

It doesn't really matter because they moved the teams around.

They just basically took the signs out front of the teams and moved to the other team, and then people walk across I-5, and now you're at SEAL Team 4.

But we missed out on the—I missed out on the invasion of Iraq in 03, which I heard was fantastic.

And politics aside, and a lot of your morality aside, I've heard invading a country, being on the invasion is pretty awesome.

We were steaming across on the USS LaSalle, me and one other sniper from SEAL Team 4, and we had to turn around and go to Liberia because of civil war, which happens in Africa.

I graduated BUD/S in December of '94.

Uh, I went on to, uh, Army Airborne School, um, where we learned to jump from the planes and, um, and then I was assigned to, uh, SEAL Team 4.

Uh, I, I got to, um, SEAL Team 4 in February bef- before I turned 20 years old, I was in the SEAL teams, and, uh, that was February '95.

By, um, the end of June, I was sitting in jail.

Yeah, so, and just to clarify, um, when, uh, back in the '90s, and I don't really know how it works today, but, um, when the new, the new guys come to the SEAL teams, uh, they're put under like a six-month probationary period while they go through additional training, which back then was called, uh, SEAL Tactical Training.

But take me back 1995 and the incident and the things that unfolded that ultimately changed the f- the outlook of the rest of your life.

Yeah.

So it was, uh, you know, a, a really typical, uh, weekend and a typical weekend night, um, in Virginia Beach where I was stationed at, uh, SEAL Team 4.
