You kinda wanna hold it until you have a way to know that it's going to-- that you're gonna name the card-- that you know that the card, uh, you're naming is there.
Sam BlackHOST
3:10
So you're gonna wait until you find a Portent or a Memory Lapse or a Scroll Rack, and that's-- plays out pretty similarly to just waiting until you have five mana.
Sam BlackHOST

Um, but then once you do, it's actually appreciably better to get to mill a card that you know and then draw two cards than just to draw two cards.
Sam BlackHOST
3:33
Either you're using Memory Lapse, and you're putting a card on your opponent's deck that you don't want them to have, and then you're predicting it, or you're using Portent and seeing three different cards and getting to choose which one you're milling.

I have fewer Fire // Ice and fewer Renewed Faith and instead I have Drummer's Charm and Absorb, where when I'm cycling a card for minimal value, I might just be drawing a land and here I'm like drawing...

It, it-- The ability to just say, "Whenever I want, I'm gonna Brainstorm," um, or at least have top deck manipulation with my Sensei's Top, and then if I hate my top deck, I can fetch and get rid of it.

Moon snare Prototype, it feels like a meme, I know, but I loved it every time I saw it.

So you can choose basically how you wanna, you know, select your, your top deck from the cards you're putting on top of your list, and that came up many times.
SeanHOST

So actually, that was one of the finals plays.
SeanHOST

I used Scroll Rack to not only stop, um, a win attempt right before I got to go to my winning turn, but I also used Scroll Rack to get pieces back that I had to put away.
SeanHOST

Um, the way I found this card to be the m- as, like, the most effective, just in the five games that I've played it, or seven games that I've played it, is, um, you wanna put as much of your hand away that you don't need as you can, and just make sure that you're like, when you do that, if your plan is to go into your turn after you've Scroll Racked, just arrange the cards that you, you maybe wanted to keep in your hand on top so that you draw them for turn.
