Big Brother returns Monday the 26th of October at 7.30pm on 10.

The new season moves to screen Queensland studios in Hemant with a longer run, six nights a week, live nominations, live evictions and a 24-hour streaming.

The audience will have more power from night one, while the house itself is promising plenty of mystery and mayhem.

But there is one major difference before the launch.

So, yeah.

Moving to screen Queensland studios in Hammond is not simply a change of address.

Amelia, what has the Brisbane studio allowed you to build or operate differently, both creatively and technically? And from an industry perspective, can you tell us how many local jobs, crew opportunities and training or attachments positions this season has created for Queensland?

Right now, there's a sense of creeping dread for Queensland movie makers.

In August, the state government cut incentives funding to Screen Queensland by at least $13 million per annum for the next two years.

For Amy Parry, that's a psychological horror she wasn't looking for.

Over the next two years, there's only $50 million in the, um, Queensland budget, which is greatly reduced from, um, the previous budget.
