Screamers

Yeah, so.

He also wrote Screamers, which I can't make it through.

I was thinking-

I've tried a couple times for Screamers

so there's three movies, right? But they're remaking Return of the Living Dead.

What do you, what, what, what tit- Do you think that was a good idea to change it from Scary Movie to Scream?

Do you know what I think is insane? Is that they had to clear the rights because of that Michael Jackson song, and then they also went into arbitration, I think, with Sony because of the movie Screamers.

So changing the title, while I think, yes, it's a better title, opened such a can of worms and so much litigation that they had to then go to just to change the title.

I would have called it It's a Scream.

Yeah, so we got our honorable mentions out of the way, so we'll just jump right into our main lists here.

So my number five is a movie, it's called Screamers from 1995.

And, uh, this is one that I've talked about before, so it's not like it's the first time it's on the podcast.

But this one, uh, it hits the list because, like...

And so it's set, like, far in the future.

And so the, the military, they create these, like, robots.

They're called Screamers, and they are, uh, they basically are like little sentries, like robotic sentries to protect, like, military bases and things like that, things that are important to, uh, you know, the, the battle.

But the problem is with these, with the Screamers is they, they kinda gain sentience, right? They gain sentience, and they kinda get a mind of their own, and they're able to evolve, basically, like, to improve upon their design.

He writes We Can Remember It For You Wholesale, which becomes Total Recall.

He writes Screamers.

He writes Payday.

He writes Minority Report.
