As you said, the Riverside Park had a good bit going on there this year.

The Scouts were there.

We had them after a break of a couple of years.

They were great.

You may remember that President Ford was an Eagle Scout, and the shape of that building is no coincidence either.

The books of Every Boy's Library are selected by the Library Commission of the Boy Scouts of America, consisting of George W. Bowerman, Librarian, Public Library of the District of Columbia, Harrison W.

Carver, Director, Engineering Societies Library, New York City, Claude G. Leyland, Superintendent, Bureau of Libraries, Board of Education, New York City, Edward F. Stevens, Librarian, Pratt Institute, Free Library, Brooklyn, New York, and franklin k mathews chief scout librarian only such books were chosen by the commission as proved to be by a nation-wide canvass most in demand by the boys themselves their popularity is further attested by the fact that in every boys library edition more than a million and a half copies of these books have already been sold we know so well are reminded so often of the worth of the good book and great that too often we fail to observe or understand the influence for good of a boy's recreational reading such books may influence him for good or ill as profoundly as his play activities of which they are a vital part The needful thing is to find stories in which the heroes have the characteristics boys so much admire.

Unquenchable courage, immense resourcefulness, absolute fidelity, conspicuous greatness.

We believe the books of every boy's library measurably well meet this challenge.

And now the next one, I joined the Scouts with Professor Maggie Chikosi.

So we got into this group of women who are commemorating the International Men's Day.

Made his Eagle Scout, got his Eagle Scout badge in Boy Scouts, and we celebrated as you should.

And I got drunk for the first time on some very hard alcohol.

I lived overseas in a country where drinking was not at all allowed, but we had alcohol there.

And so we met each other camping and got to know each other without coffee, which you get to know people really well when they don't have coffee.

The Victorians responded with a burst of anxious energy.
