I've the new ones I've been wearing the Scriber optics ones and like and this is in the commentary I'm working on is that you know what they does fit and design wise physically they have really crossed over to become much more comfortable.

If only the user experience and social contracts and everything else had evolved to that level and the concerns about privacy and everything else.

Because they are really nailing a lot of the hardware feel, the finish of it.

It's not finished, but it goes to your point.

I do have a dream for where this stuff all goes.

Well, the most interesting thing right now that I saw in it, and you're trying to understand what's going on here.

Well, first of all, they were very intent to say that this is not Google, this is us.

It's an optics thing.

But that problem gets created.

If you do a deal with Google, then yes, Google is involved.

Is that an indication about where Apple's headed?

As far as the screen itself goes, what kind of displays are we starting to see? What technology thinks could become the standard here?

Yeah, well, on the ones that plug in, like the XREAL and Vuture, a couple of these companies you may not have heard of who are making them, they have micro OLED displays, which are the types of displays that are also in the Apple Vision Pro and the Samsung Galaxy XR that came out.

They're really good quality displays, and they look like you're looking at a big TV that could look higher quality than a TV you have in your home, or at least as good.

On the glasses themselves, a lot of them use a variety of technologies.

Some of them have a kind of a ghosty, rainbowy look.

Some of them are monochrome.

Some of the Meta Ray-Ban displays actually look really crisp and colorful, but only in one eye.

Is there a killer app waiting us for these types of devices and smart glasses?

Google already has the presence for Chromebooks in that my kids use Chromebooks for school, you know? It's like it's there.

It is the default.

So now they're trying to re-win that, but it's not really that.

They're trying to win a consumer space that's different than that, and that's where I think it gets fuzzy and odd.

Like, what I like about it, I like the intentionality of a company working on applications for AI that you could, like you say, with the widgets or other things, or the wiggle cursor, that kind of becomes this AI summoning thing.

Like, thinking about ways that it can mesh with what you're doing versus trying to, like, hackify your own AI solution that I'm not gonna find myself compelled to do.
