Were you surprised that the NCAA didn't further investigate what Cincinnati knew about Brendan Sorsby's gambling?

Not really because of the way I know John Cunningham, the athletic director.

He comes from a compliance background.

He is to the rules.

All he's ever talked about was doing NIL the right way.

He was on the CSC.

So I can't imagine him knowing that Brendan Sorsby did any of this stuff and then signing off on, well, let's go into next season with him.

What was going wrong in the first half? What went right in the second half?

What happened in high school? Why was he a walk-on? Did people just miss him, or did he really take that next jump once he got to the University of Cincinnati?

Two seasons ago, I predicted maybe six wins and a bowl game, and then I, th- this past season, uh, I, I got it right on the money, seven, but it, it didn't happen the way I thought it would happen.

And, you know, they get out of the chute, and really you look at the first game against Nebraska, they're throwing to win the game at the very end, a very, very winnable game.

Uh, they could've come into, uh, Utah at eight and oh, uh, with game day and all that.

In- instead, they came in seven and one.

But still, you had a lot of momentum.
