How is the Sound Studies Institute connected with other parts of the university and across the province and nationally and perhaps internationally?

One way we definitely connect is through the research projects themselves and bringing people in to learn about the facilities.

We have a strong relationship with the Canadian Centre for Ethnomusicology, also a research centre that's more squarely about ethnomusicology and music from around the world.

We share some of the facilities together and we have some shared equipment and research projects.

So they're a very, very important sister organization.

There's some research studios in the Fine Arts Building that are run by myself and Mark Hannison called the EARS Studios or Electroacoustic Research Studios.

Those spaces we often use for training and other purposes with programs from SSI.
