You know, I talked about everything has a cost, right? But another thing that the guy that owned the bank that I worked for, he had said that all debts are paid in full.

And what do you mean by that? Well, most people pay their bills, right? But sometimes they don't.

Does that mean that those bills get unpaid or left unpaid? And the answer is no, they are paid.

They are paid by the person that extended the credit, whether it be the power company or the bank.

They ended up, instead of... making a credit to revenue, they ended up, it was a gift instead of a product sold type of thing.

So all debts are always paid.

How far away do you feel this team is from really getting back into the conversation?

I, I don't know if it's, it's fair to say, one, that the Blackhawks feel like it's going great.

I, I think Danny Wirtz knows what he, the owner, signed up for, right? And this is for as soon as the Blackhawks committed to Kyle Davidson's plan, that this is the way that it was gonna go.

It w- it was gonna take a long, long, long time.

I don't think anyone understands how long.

I don't know if Kyle Davidson knew.

He's been very careful not to put a timeframe on this, and the one time he did, um, he regretted it [laughs] completely and it, it, it went against him, so he's been very careful since then not to put a, a timeframe on it.

Yeah.

I think the Raiders were in, too.

Yeah, I, I get that why people are, are, are certainly the trade on, on face isn't, um...

Yeah, it, it, it certainly was, was lopsided in some ways where the Blackhawks gave up a lot.

Um, it, it just, it all, it all comes down to whether Bowen Byram is what the Blackhawks think, right? Like, if, if he's the number one defenseman and, and he's putting up, you know, 60, 70 points and, and producing with Bedard, and somehow he elevates this team, I, I think all of this, um, yeah, all, all this chatter and all this talk this entire off-season, it, it's, you know, it's, it's all for naught.

I, then I think Dav- you know, Davidson gets what he wants and the Blackhawks take a step.

Ultimately, if Bowen Byram doesn't succeed, um, I, I think it puts, it puts all this into question, right? Like, it, it's, I think Kyle Davidson's job could be on the line.

I, I think they've taken a massive swing.

But I wonder if someone like Wyatt Kaiser could be in place for a long-term extension and guys like Ryan Greene and Oliver Moore were forwards or even Moore, I think easier to project than signing a defenseman long-term.
