This is the brand new film from Michael Spirig and his brother Peter Spirig.

They direct and the film is written by Scott Mann.

and Jonathan Frank, right, who co-wrote the first film, and man directed the first film, okay, so, producing, we have David Haring, James Harris, Mark Lane, Christian Mercuri, and Scott Mann.

Serving as executive producers, we have Dan Asma, Barry Brooker, David Hillary, Rosanna Jones, Peggy Yan.

Oh, dear.

Um, so anyway, this is the sequel to the 2022 film Fall by director Scott Mann and co-writer Jonathan Frank, who together wrote this, and apparently, um, th- the first film became a big hit on Netflix, as a result of which they announced two sequels, the second of which will be directed by Scott Mann.

There was something about them being made simultaneously, so maybe that's, that's already happened.

So first film cost 3 million, took 21, thumbs up.

Are you in any way, when you're working on the second, was the third one being kept in mind in terms of writing and... 'Cause it was green-lited simultaneously, right? So I'm assuming it was being sort of worked on at the same time at, at different stages.

I think, um, I think the production company, um, and, uh, the EP, uh, original writer, EP/original writer, uh, and, uh, director, Scott Mann, he already, he, he already had an idea, um, for that.

Um, and so, uh, my, my, my part of this, this, this universe was just coming in to do our part for number two and, and, uh, and, and carry on the torch, so to speak.

So, um, I know the, you know, some very broad brush strokes of what, uh, number three may entail, but n- nothing more detailed than that.

The screenplay was written by Scott Mann and Jonathan Frank, who also wrote the original Fall.

Mann also directed the first movie and remains as the producer of the sequel.

So I do like it, though, when you get a movie that gets a sequel, it's made by the same people, because sometimes when they kick it from director to director, from J.J. Abrams across through to, what was his name? Ryan.

They didn't create the idea behind this.

That's Scott Mann and Jonathan Frank, who in 2022 made a film called Fall, which went into cinemas but actually really got its big... following when it landed on Netflix a couple of years later and Fall was a very simple genre piece about a couple of women who for the social media clicks and likes climb an abandoned radio tower about 2,000 feet above the desert and then when their rusty ladder breaks and leaves them stranded they of course have to try and find a way down and of course For anybody who's got any problem with heights, that was going to be a kind of white knuckle ride.

So this is the sequel and it looks as if very much a franchise is being born here.

Fall 2 takes the sister of one of the earlier pair.
