Scott Lindsey

It's just all about, it's, it's the styles of football which I think are gonna be ahead, to be honest.

Um, Scott Lindsey can play one type of football.

Everyone knows what type of football Scott Lindsey's gonna play.

They're gonna pass it round the back for a few minutes, move it forward, pass it back, move it forward, pass it back, and make you tired from running against them and running the, at the ball.

They're gonna, they're gonna just make you run at the ball, they're gonna pass it around you, and you're gonna get tired early on.

That's how Scott Lindsey plays football, that's how he's had his suc- his success.

You could argue maybe he's a little bit one-dimensional, but it seems to work for him, relatively speaking-

But if we don't, then you've got a tough trip to Grimsby.

It starts to become... you know a bit of a a curse to break doesn't have an albatross isn't it albatross that's what it was uh that's what i was reaching for um but yeah i think yeah i think i think you're right that you can kind of read into our start what you want to because some people have been ever since scott lindsey was appointed looking for a stick to beat him with i would say And maybe with justifiable reason, because they were very fond of having Stuart Maynard as manager.

But the issue you're up against is we have no way of knowing what that alternate reality where Maynard's in charge is.

Maybe we're top of the league.

Um, and then Chesterfield/York, um, is the second leg in League Two.

Uh, again, this is Paul Cook against Scott Lindsey, just two relentlessly attacking managers.

23 to 5 this one, so slightly bigger price.

Uh, York's games are averaging 3.5 goals per game at the moment.

They got promoted and then made a very strange decision to sack the guy, Stuart Maynard, who'd got them up.

Brought in Scott Lindsey, and to his credit, they've made a really good start.

So in the summer they were quite aggressive.

They went out, they signed two, four, six, eight, nine players permanently and two on loan, including Alfie McNally in from Fulham.

Maynard, who'd got them promoted with 100 and, crikey, what was it, 108 points, something like that.

And replaced him with Scott Lindsey, and Scott Lindsey was receiving some pretty unkind chants in, in preseason friendlies.

But he's turned them around.

He's turned it around, and he's, he's got the fans on board.

A kind of great finish in the top corner as well, but, um, 4-0, free-scoring.

Newby's really in the goals.

And Scott Lindsey has, has turned it around.

And York City look like there's, there's, they're in with a chance of, of going back-to-back.

This is quite a statement as well, beating Swindon by four goals to nil.

I reckon former Swindon Town boss Scott Lindsey would've quite enjoyed this.

Much maligned, uh, when he came into the club to replace, replace Stuart Maynard early in the season.

Scoring four against the home fans, uh, giving it the, the big one at the end in front of the home fans who, who are now-- You know, I, I don't think it was ever necessarily about Lindsey in the first place.

I think he's second, even though he's playing kind of advanced midfield.

Um, you've got Arthur Reed is another, who's in and out of the side.

It is impressive, and it shows that not only are they retaining the ball, but they're doing so in more advanced areas, which is kind of what Scott Lindsey's all about really when he gets out attacking his team, his team is.

They look really good.

Depends on who you are, I suppose, 'cause people like me and Michael, we're very happy to finish sort of 10th and 12th and then build on it again for next season.

Um, so I'm sure me and Michael will be like, "Yeah, we, we'd take a draw there." Um, but knowing what Matt Uggle is wanting, what Julianne's wanting, what Scott Lindsey will be wanting, there'll be nothing less than a defeat, and obviously to keep it up for Steve for us to be champions by Christmas.

Well, whi- whilst Scott Lindsey didn't win manager of the month, uh, Michael, Harry Boyes did win player of the month.

I mean, what...

Um, yeah, so York, they're, they're obviously back at home.

They've started, uh, pretty strong under a Scott Lindsey that, that me and Luke definitely were massively against the appointment of.

But maybe he's showing the sort of heart and the fight that he had with that Crawley side, and maybe he can do something with, with York.

But yeah-
