Scott Huffman

We'll be talking about all other political stories that happened overnight because, like I was just saying, everything moves really quickly.

We have Scott Huffman on our show.

But, you know, great conversations and getting people started with a smile on their face and hopefully moving into their day with some positive thoughts as well.

Yeah, perfect.

Congressman Mark Harris tomorrow.

Dr. Scott Huffman.

Brett Winterble.

Rumors are that he's going to be on the show tomorrow at 7.50.

I'm your host, Gavin Jackson, and this episode was recorded on September 21st, 2026 from South Carolina Public Radio studios here in Columbia.

On this episode of The Lead, we talk with Winthrop political science professor Dr. Scott Huffman about the state of play for the midterms six weeks away.

We even have new polling for the U.S. Senate race.

I'm not going to tell you what it says.

So we won't see the House back until after the November elections.

Interesting.

But I recently caught up with one of our favorite folks, Winthrop University political science professor Dr. Scott Huffman, on This Week in South Carolina.

And I opened by asking him about how things are shaping up post-Labor Day and now six weeks away from Election Day on November 3rd.
