Alex Pillow got it done the week prior, but we want to shout out, you know, going off of a very almost four-year hiatus of not winning a race and being so close, getting it done last week, it had to feel so good.

What an outstanding IndyCar season we've watched and witnessed all year long, we've seen the best Indy 500 in a long time we also seen a lot of excitement and now we know going into the Indy car off season there's gonna be a lot of moving and shaking that's right a lot of drivers picking up and moving to new shops we've seen like Scott Dixon someone we never thought would leave his old team moving out after this season so it's gonna be interesting six months And we'll get back on track for the IndyCar.

In 2018, they had all the... aero package stuff and then 2012 is when the last chassis debuted so they had that thing for 15 years but the ir28 it's it's not only new aero changes but also just a completely new chassis so i'm curious if it's going to end up like the next gen was when it debuted in 22 on the nascar side if it's going to completely just throw caution to the wind and just have parity and just have a new winner basically every single week so I'm curious if that's what it's going to do, but of course, with the IndyCar season now over, which we'll talk about Laguna Sega in a bit, Silly Season's beginning to ramp up as well.

Connor Daly will run full-time in the 24 for Dryer and Reinbold Racing, and they're returning as a team to IndyCar for the first time since 2012, and it was announced during Laguna Sega weekend that Mick Schumacher will fill Felix Rosenquist's seat at Meyerschenk Racing next year as Rosenquist heads to McLaren along with Scott Dixon, who left Chip Ganassi Racing after 25 years, so that ride's up for grabs but I wouldn't be surprised if Christian Lingard got that right as he's now out of McLaren now that the season's over but there's not really any other seat that's as coveted as Dixon's seat I mean I guess Palou but of course Palou's not going anywhere so I'm curious who's going to fill that seat

I would think Lundgaard is definitely a top candidate, especially with his prowess on road courses.

I know Chip Ganassi said in an interview a while ago, Alex Pillow wants somebody that can challenge him, and I definitely feel like Christian Lundgaard is that guy that can challenge him.

That was huge for them to finish in the top 10 in the championship.

You know, Kiffin Simpson finishes ahead of some some heavy hitters in the championship and was what, seven points or something like that behind Scott Dixon.

So there was still plenty to play for.

It's just a difficult track.

I think that he posted that Thursday or Friday last week of when it was after the 500.

I feel like it was right after Detroit, maybe like the Monday after Detroit.

And Scott told Zion, that's when I... messaged chip and it was on two things something about the race and also i'd like to come to pittsburgh to meet with you and chip didn't respond about that so he had to go to michael and say hey i'm serious i really need to talk to people and he met with uh chip and you know the head of pnc bank and said this is what i'm thinking i'm probably going to leave at that time i'm sure ganassi is floored the team in general and doesn't want this to happen And as I've said now, assuming that they do have Christian Lungard, they'd still welcome, and they were not going to fire Scott Dixon.

But this is going to work out in the better for them.

Obviously, the biggest opening is going to be the No. 9 car.

A lot of folks think that Christian Lungard is going to make the move from Errol McLaren to try to do the impossible and replace Scott Dixon over at Ganassi Racing.

The Errol McLaren guys are set.

The Andretti guys are set.

I was really happy.

We must remember, too, that Laguna Seca was the final race for Chip Ganassi Racing for Scott Dixon.

He spoke to some reporters afterwards about the emotion attached with it.

It's definitely a tough one, but it kind of ended like it started, to be honest.
