Cat, what do your instincts tell us about Menighen?

He plays a much more confidence inspiring style than Mads Sogard for starters, so I do consider him a slightly more optimistic option for fans who are looking for someone who maybe won't become their next starter, but could potentially become an NHL player for them.

It's like you can come down the right side, I can one pad save, I can one knee drop, I could butterfly, I could go splits, I could go blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, right? You can, you can play it.

I remember Scott Clemmensen as a, as a goalie partner came down and a guy picked me corner, and I was like, "Ah, I should've went one knee down." He's like, "What do you usually do?" I'm like, "I usually go one knee- one knee down." He's like, "Yeah, but 9 out of 10 times that works." But I'm like, "Yeah, but that one I made the wrong choice on." But he's like, "It's 900.

Like, you're, you're now trying to change it on that one shot that beat you when you didn't need to change it nine other times." And that kind of put it into like a little bit of like a, you know, light bulb click.

It's like, okay, so if, you know, I do seven different things on 10 shots, and all of a sudden I'm getting scored on five times even though I made s- you know, five different saves, I could just do the same thing over and over again, play it the right way, and lose once.

If I get to play and get a contract, then I played decently well.

And then it kinda switched again.

You know, Scott Clemmensen, I gotta give him a Christmas card every year, but he's just like, you know, I played probably three to five more years because everybody knew what they were gonna get.

And he's like, "I had my chance to be a starter.
