Sputtered around, sloppy play in the second half against the Camels.

Yeah, I mean, this is the game we've been waiting on.

Obviously, you expected them to handle Campbell pretty easily, and they did.

You know, it didn't go the way the second half they wanted.

And, you know, you can tell after the game, Summerall was not very pleased with some of the sloppiness, the penalties.

And, you know, he said the Gators can't beat the Gators, and that's what's going to happen at Auburn if they play the way they did in the second half against Campbell.

So I think they're just going to have to work on cleaning some things up.

You can be really explosive then.

Anything that you didn't like that you saw Saturday night, Scott?

You know, if there was anything, you know, we talked about it.

I was like in the, some were all thinking that, you know, you knew they were going to give up the yards, but the defense, the two scoring drives that made it 24-14, it's still kind of a game at that point.

So I'm sure that was the area of concern.

There was nothing else so individually or as a unit that, you know, alarmed me.

I thought it was a really good performance.

I thought, It was a much needed kind of performance.

You want to answer that, Scott?

Scott, in your opinion, is there one player that you think will surprise the Gator fans this year?

You know, the guy that just caught my attention at the scrimmages and I really like what he brings is the receiver from Georgia Tech, Bailey Stockton, kind of a a slot receiver.

And, of course, you know, when you look at Florida, that's, to me, the strength of the offense, or at least behind Ball.

I mean, Ball is the guy who's going to carry the load.

But you look at the receivers with Vernell Brown, Chris Singleton, Dallas Wilson.

I mean, you know, these guys are all talented.

You know, everybody's looking at those guys as having big years.

Your thoughts on all that?

To, to do, treat others as you hope to be treated, and of course it goes, it goes even deeper than that because when you're kind to others, you kind of are shoring up your soul to face the next battle.

Yes.

Uh, I think that's true, and, uh, what I've a- what, one of the things I've learned in the last few years is this sense that- Uh, the act of kindness that goes out, uh, I, I disassociate myself now with what comes back.

That sometimes it's a message in a bottle, so you're on a desert island, you're writing a note, uh, save, save our ship, SOS, put it in the bottle, throw the bottle out, and as soon as you throw the bottle out into the ocean, forget about it.

Find the next bottle, write the next note, do the next thing.

So you keep, um, having these things go out, and then what happens very often for me is when something nice comes back, uh, I forg- I've forgotten about writing the note and sending it off.

You know, whenever you write about someone in depth, I've always wanted to go and see where they come from and Obviously, I went to Huntsville, Alabama is where he grew up.

That's where he played high school ball.

So I went there after dropping my daughter off in Chattanooga.

We went down to Huntsville, spent the night, got up the next morning, kind of went through his old neighborhood and his high school, although they changed high school since he was there.

I have been an asthmatic since the age of two.

I know Tim has had, I've seen some things on Twitter with some top visitors and some signings.

With that question, I think, you know, he'll want to add depth there at pitcher and shore up the defense maybe a little bit here and there.

What needs to be changed in college baseball?

Well, they had changed it.

I remember in the early 2010, 2011, those years, really the late before COVID, they had changed the bat and the balls, and I think it was playing more compared to maybe the major leagues or what you would like to see baseball as.

But it's certainly going back to an offensive slugfest like we used to see in the 80s and 90s, Shane.

I don't know if the bats have changed.

I don't know if the balls have been juiced up or what.

But the home runs are flying.
