In July 2017, it was announced that Scott Beck and Brian Woods would write and direct the film.

The film would be produced by Eli Roth, Todd Garner, and yada, yada, yada.

And then this movie, Other Mommy, was written by three people.

Two of the guys who wrote it wrote A Quiet Place, and their names are Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, and then the third writer is a man named Mark Heyman, who wrote Black Swan.

So that is very impressive.

Definitely something, and I maybe can see a little bit of Black Swan DNA in Other Mommy, but of course, Black Swan's way better.

Um, this is the story of a, a young woman with a, a troubled past and a troubled present, uh, who hooks up with her douchebag friends and they go hunting for an extreme haunted house.

Uh, they find it, and they mostly don't live to regret it.

I've got a review for the Golden Globe-nominated film Heretic, which is written and directed by Scott Beck and Brian Woods.

You know Scott Beck and... and Brian Woods from doing The Boogeyman, as well as The Boogeyman that was in 2023, but you most likely know him from A Quiet Place back in 2018.

They both screenwrote and executive produced that.

They also went ahead and produced, screenwrote, and directed the film 65, which, fuck y'all, 65 is fun.

I will say here, he could get a Best Actor nomination for this.

He is incredible.

in this movie and as much as i love a quiet place and i do i think that's incredibly well made well written film this is the best film that scott beck and brian woods have put out i think this is about as close to a master class as you can get i think this is one of the best thrillers seen I think if I did double feature of this and long legs I would just be I'd be disturbed but also giddy this movie from start to finish just had me I just I can't say enough good about this movie so when they go ahead and initially go ahead and arrive at his house they go ahead and they're just talking okay you know like Here's our pamphlet.

I think it got a limited theatrical release.

But it's a 2019 film, uh, from Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, who co-wrote A Quiet Place.

And I am picking Haunt from 2019.
