It's, it's too, too early to tell.

I think Luke McCaffrey will probably make the team because of just the special teams element, uh, and the kick returning aspect, and I think I've seen a lot of growth from Luke as well, uh, during these couple training camp practices.

It's just that the injuries just derailed the whole thing.

And I think, again, you go back to having something to prove.

I want to see Jaden Daniels take the bull by the horns and prove to everybody he's not a one-hit wonder and he's a top-ten quarterback in the National Football League.

Um, w- what are the, what are the defensive, uh, leaders of the team expecting from him?

Yeah, and, and I think the problem with Johnny is he maybe doesn't see the field enough or get, gets many reps or opportunities because I feel like when he does get out there, there's some splash plays and there's some, you know, a, a fumble recovery or, or a sack.

So I think it's a situation where you have Payne, you have Kinlaw, uh, you have a deep D tackle room.

Um, can he get on the field enough? Can they get him enough snaps to make that impact? 'Cause I think the talent is there.

Uh, I think he definitely can in, uh, can make a, can make a run here.

And then obviously you have the situation with Dorran Payne, contract year.

So this is a situation where if they see enough from a Johnny Newton, maybe you don't sign Payne in the off-season, or maybe you, um, consider moving Dorran Payne if things go south in the middle of the year because you have a Johnny Newton, uh, that's flourishing.

What jumped out at you the most?

You know, usually you go to these OTAs and it's like a, you know, glorified walkthrough.

They're going through the motions, easing the players.

And I was very impressed with just the pacing of the drills and the pacing of everything.

It seemed like everybody was really engaged and there's a more of an urgency to kind of knowing what lies ahead, guys.

Um, like, like going in, obviously, you know, there is that narrative out there that they were going to be big spenders and going to be aggressive.

They were clearly aggressive, right? They were in on Alec Pierce.

They were in on Dobbs.

They were in on Linderbaum, the center, and they're just, they're just missing.

And that's, that's part of the game.

That's part of free agency of bidding and money and whatnot.

What do you see them doing at that spot?

Do you agree with the idea that the Bills are wasting Josh Allen?

I agree to a certain extent.

I mean...

Josh Allen's no choir boy in all of this, Al.

I mean, he deserves some of the blame of mistakes not rising to the moment, playing tight.

So he was not good against Denver.

He was not good in other playoff games.

Clearly, is the Bills not doing a better job of surrounding Allen with talent? But what about having a stud quarterback with a head coach with primarily a defensive background, a la the Bills with Josh Allen and Sean McDermott, a la the commanders with Jaden Daniels and Dan Quinn?
