The AEW Classic Match of the Night!

A six-man tag team match, Sema, Frankie Kazarian, and Scorpio Sky versus Kip Sabian and The Hybrid 2.

The backstory is, well, not a whole heck of a lot.

Sema, Kip Sabian, and The Hybrid 2 are sort of directionless and floundering in AEW at this time.

Now, they find themselves on opposite sides of a six-man.

I bet there is some animosity, or at least one-upsmanship afoot.

Meanwhile, Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky are the AEW Tag Team Champions, and they have a date with Private Party and the Lucha Brothers for those Tag Team Championships at Full Gear, one day after this bout aired on TV.

And that is how we got here.

Then the day labor basically said, hey, you know, send somebody to fight Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page.

I haven't had time to look over the roster considering the fact that it's, you know, massive at this point.

But there are a lot of people who are currently otherwise engaged.

My feeling is as entertaining as I find Dan Lambert and as sort of meta as his commentary is on AEW's fan base and millennials – another you know another open challenge i think that's the third time they've done it they did it i think last week they did it and right on um at the pay-per-view maybe on the pre-show on sunday or during the main card i can't remember i just know dan lambert was up in a suite basically given a variation of the same speech you did tonight and it's like time to to move this along already chop chop it's the third you know the third time you're supposed to uh set up a match or something and they've yet to do that i mean i don't know i don't you know, I guess it depends on how far you intend to push Scorpio sky and Ethan page.

Are you going to push them as a, a heel tag team that might be a team that could take on the Lucha brothers, right? If the Lucha brothers remain faces, um, or is this just something to, you know, fill TV time? Um, and in which case it, uh, you know, I don't know that, I guess they don't really care at this point is my honest answer.
