Australasian Oaks

So if King Snitz won, it would be a first for Snitzel, but it's Tony Ottobre's home-bred horse.

It's a Princess Jenny that won Australasian Oaks, I think, over 2,000 metres.

So in a week, you...

King Snits can probably put himself somewhere.

It was won, the race, by Kingswood, but it reminds us all just how dangerous racing can be for the horses and the riders.

Two horses came down in the straight and Oh Hope Wins, the winner of the Australasian, uh, Oaks in Sydney or the Australian Oaks in Sydney this year, it, uh, ended up sadly in the hands of Racing Victoria vets desperately working to save the mare.

Sadly, Oh Hope Wins didn't get back to her stable.

Uh, luckily, Half Yours, the other horse at fault, regained his feet and soon after hitting the turf seemed to be okay.

I think she's getting better with racing.

Her form last campaign, beating Paltrow Miss, running well in the Australasian Oaks was great.

Uh, good first up.

Shoulda won.
