Kids will ask me, this is middle school, so it's sixth, seventh, eighth grade, "Mister, why are we doing these things?" Right? And we do these things to be proactive instead of reactive, but it's heartbreaking to explain that to a kid, right?

Hawaii's last school shooting was in 1988 in Aiea when a teacher was wounded by a student.

And we're seeing gusty conditions across the state right now, and we will be seeing this at least through probably Sunday into Monday.

So the trade winds are holding steady and also a few windward and mauka showers.

So evil.

You know, everybody else is picked out by their religion or their outward color or their race, but when it comes to n- a different set of kids, it's about, "Oh, was they, were they transgender?" Everybody else, "What color was he? What race was he? What religion was he?" But when it's a school shooting, "Were they trans?" [laughs] That's when you know you're running from the truth.

You're running from the truth that these children are sick, twisted, psychopathic demon seeds raised by fellow demon seeds.

Now, what? What? Are they trans? Was he a trans? [laughs] And then a bunch of answers.

[upbeat music] Our country confronted an all too familiar heartbreak this week, another school shooting, more childhoods shattered by gun violence, and a community searching for answers that never seem to come.

On Thursday afternoon in Bend, Oregon, police say a 16-year-old armed with a shotgun blasted open locked doors at Silver Rail Elementary School there.

Officers were on the scene just three minutes after the first 911 call, but a teacher and three children, 5 years old, 8 years old, and 11 years old, had already been killed.

This morning, the small city of Bend, Oregon, is in mourning after a school shooting left four people dead, including three children.

I literally saw it as it happened.

I saw him cross over the fence, jump over the fence with his gun.

Let's do this.

Normally, I take these in chronological order, but because I've gotten so many text messages and so many emails about the school shooting, let's just start with that one to begin with.

At 12:59 PM today, Deschutes County dispatch received a 911 call from a person in a vehicle who reported being shot at multiple times by a person with a long gun.

In the ensuing several minutes, dispatch received dozens of 911 calls reporting that a shooter had entered the building at Silver Trail Elementary School on Southeast Stone Creek Lane in Bend, Oregon.

The district says that is due to declining enrollment and a declining birth rate.

This morning, questions about a motive in a deadly elementary school shooting in Oregon.

A 16-year-old boy opened fire, killing three students and a teacher.

We now know the shooter used a pump-action shotgun, believed to be purchased by his mother.

S- thousands of SoCal Edison customers are being affected.

More could lose power through the day.

And we're also expecting to learn more about the deadly school shooting in Oregon.

Investigators are holding a news conference this afternoon.

The suspect was shot and killed in the school by a member of the community who saw him enter the building, and he pursued him.

Another case of a good guy with a gun taking out a bad guy with a gun.

Sheriff Michael Bouchard, Oakland County Sheriff extraordinaire, we, i-i-it's-- There have been 36 school shootings in America, K through 12, so far this year.
