And now

here's Benz.

You know, back a hundred or more years ago, back in the days when folks around New York first began to enjoy Schaefer beer, all the beer was sold and most of it was consumed right in the neighborhood tavern.

The tavern was a friendly place where you stopped off to chat and relax and quench your thirst.

In American League activity, the Yankees beat Washington 2-1, Boston beat Baltimore 4-2, Chicago beat Cleveland 3-2, and Kansas City beat Detroit 2-1.

So now, on the mound, Robin Roberts, tuning up with catcher Stan Lopata, the practice play to second base, and standing by, ready to call the play-by-play for you for the F&M Schaefer Brewing Company of Brooklyn and Schaefer Beer, here's Al Helfer.

Al, let's go with the season.

All right, Jerry.

That's the count on Boucher with two down.

And Schaefer Beers sending it all to you from Connie Mack Stadium down from Adelphi Way.
