Scary Pockets

is from a single released in 2021.

Stories is at 173,000 monthly listeners from the team behind Scary Pockets.

Stories brings you stripped down acoustic covers of songs you know featuring a rotating cast of singers and musicians.

Guess who else is in is in stories? Jack Conte, the aforementioned, who's also in Pomplamoose.

Yeah.

Scary Pockets just played a show.

Pockets is now working on originals.

So we've released maybe three or four and we've got a bunch more in the hopper.

Anyway, sorry.

The last thing was batched production.

Um, worked really well for podcasts and Scary Pockets and Pomplamoose.

It's harder for original music.

Elroy vs. L.A. O.S.T. is the name of the record, and I like Calibro 35.

Scary Pockets, working with Clark Sound and Pockets.

And they're doing original music these days.

That was called Good Times or Wasted on the Fool, a single from them.

Scary is in the title and for those of you who have been listening to me, you know that I don't really like anything scary.

But it's actually the name of a cover band called Scary Pockets.

It's a Los Angeles-based music collective and they're known for turning familiar pop, rock, and R&B songs into funky live band versions.

And they have a rotating lineup of musicians and vocalists so the same song can sound completely different from the original.

And I love hearing other people cover songs.

It could be a fun addition to a party list, a road trip playlist, workout, whatever, when you need background music, et cetera.

So that is something I've been wanting to tell you about, and I thought it could fit in nicely in the fall because they're called Scary Pockets.

We're gonna pause for a minute.
