SCARLET NEXUS

Sure.

Yeah, I think mine is probably Scarlet Nexus.

Yeah.

I was like thinking, I don't, I don't think anybody's not going to like this game.

And did that shape my opinion of the game? You know, it's hard to say.

I don't think it did.

I'll always enjoy Scarlet Nexus, but like, some of the people complaining about the repetitive nature of like some of the dungeons and the areas and things like that.

I'm like, yeah, I mean, that's kind of true, but it's not something that really like bothered me while I was playing it.

And I remember that's definitely one that kind of helped open my eyes and broaden my horizons.

Another one I remember on this is a few years ago was Scarlet Nexus.

This is a Japanese role playing game.

Normally, I don't play Japanese role playing games, but I remember seeing it at an Xbox showcase and it was a very Xbox marketed game.

I played through it super fast and enjoyed the hell out of it.

And I don't crave JRPGs normally, but this game had like a little bit of like social hub, like moments in between key aspects of the game.

And for the most part, it was very JRPG, lots of like combat and grinding moments and it was you know it's more action modern jrpg style stuff but i just remember thinking the writing was so good and the characters were so so compelling and the art style and the world building were so uh you know visually striking and honestly this game has a fucking killer soundtrack i still listen to songs from this game to this day such good such a good soundtrack and uh yeah i love scarlet nexus too i'd love for them to make a sequel and And even though I don't really play JRPGs for the most part, this is one I would come back for in a heartbeat if they continued the series.

Although, unfortunately, I don't think it did that well financially.

Like in that same vein, I think like from the same like Bandai Namco, Scarlet Nexus.

is a very heavy it's like it's action rpg but leans heavier on the action aspect so it feels more like you're playing an action game kind of like a platinum game or something like that yeah but then you also have the the jrpg aspects uh outside of just the character development and things like that but also stats and levels and things like that so you're kind of building up your characters new weapons and everything like there so but you get this fast-paced action combat that has this like psych uh psycho um psychic abilities so you're grabbing things you're doing things you're doing combos so it's very kind of like especially if you're into devil may cry which is heavily combo based uh so you're juggling in the air and you're doing things like that uh scarlet nexus kind of gives you that feel um because you can kind of grab people from the air and move yourself up and just kind of like just juggle things so it kind of gives you that same feeling i guess

And then speaking of you mentioned platinum games, if you're a fan of Bayonetta, you might try their other game, Astral Chain, which I would argue feels more like a JRPG than a pure action game.

I like the combat of Scarlet Nexus.

I like the world of Scarlet Nexus, too.

I think there was something going on there where everybody's kind of got their Naruto powers and you fight against these weird-looking, really visually striking bosses that I think you would later see also done in things like Metaphor that just look really cool on the screen and are fun to fight against.
