In fact, they did a quest this year, and I've done it before, but it has been a while, that explains how the Headless Horseman gets released back into the world and why you fight him in the Scarlet Monastery.

But yes, he does come by and try to burn the towns.

And this event actually... is weirdly dependent, not weirdly, but it's dependent on there being enough people that want to do it because you cannot put the fires out single

They take something that was a dungeon and obviously all the dungeons are in, so they wouldn't do that.

It would be something that's like next to it or something, right? Maybe there's a back door in Scarlet Monastery and you go into some catacombs underneath from, you know, from that door or something, right? Whatever it is.

they you know if you have this this dungeon or what's supposed to be a raid why wouldn't people just bring only only the exact level character you are you know let's say 35 or something or or 40. well if you are over 40 would you not be eligible to go in you know um if you're under 40 are you just not high enough level people don't want to bring you so you have to you have to just thread the needle then it's going to be really hard to get people to show up for the raid so i don't know how you would solve that kind of a problem but if but if the genius is over at blizzard figure it out i think adding activities like this in the middle of the leveling process would be really cool

because it doesn't all have to be at the end

I think it was to do like the later ones.

Scarlet Monastery was such a big part of Vanilla Warcraft for me.

I'm really excited to see that they've included this this way.

Do you have any like is it just like was Scarlet Monastery a big thing for you as well? Did you spend a lot of time there?

It was so big for like my original vanilla thing, because that's like right about when you're switching from like leather to mail, right? You get like Harad's shoulder and you're getting your, you're like, oh my goodness.

I was, I was such a big fan of Scarlet Monastery.

I like in my initial play through leveling up, I, I went through that dungeon, I think more than any other dungeon on in my level up initially.

So it's such, it's, it's kind of home.

I don't feel bad.

But this allowed Alliance players to explore the city early, complete with profession trainers, class trainers, a new quest for Scarlet Monastery, etc.

So that was...

I think there was some... celebration around that i don't know i don't know how that's cool yeah so that's kind of cool and then when the whole thing ended this is the part i'm sad i missed because i guess this was yesterday last night yeah um there was this 24 hour long event it featured infernals raining out of the sky Oh, that's cool.

But yeah, we had one in particular, this priest who died like seven or eight times coming in.

And it is a walk from the graveyard is almost up by like Scarlet Monastery.

You have to kind of like come down the road and do all this stuff.

And so like it was fine, but we just started so much later than we otherwise would have.

There's something to having these exchanges, but you get it.

It's not going to be the last time it happens either, because there's a lot of dungeons at higher levels that also...

this happens, right? Like, Scarlet Monastery, if you ever want to do that, especially as Alliance, the run itself to get there is long, and then actually, you know, if there's other horde groups there, you might get killed.

I don't actually know if all of Tirisfal Glades just auto-PVPs you if you're alliance, but maybe it's just that it's like, either way, I could be interested in something like that, for sure.

Every Hallow's Eve, adventurers ride into the Scarlet Monastery.

to face the headless horseman.

We hear his laughter.

Everyone else was corrupted.

And, every hollow's end, he returned to cleanse Azeroth in flame.

To most adventurers, He became simply the laughing writer of the Scarlet Monastery, a holiday boss, and perhaps a chance at a very rare mount.

But beneath the armor, there was still Thomas.

The Death Guard wanted the farmers dead in case the Alliance ever recruited them.

The Scarlet Crusade held watchtowers across the glades, and above them all, in the northeast, stood their great fortress, the Scarlet Monastery.

On the hill south of it lay the Whispering Gardens, where a great battle had once been fought between the soldiers who would become the Crusade and a host of the Scourge.

The spirits of the fallen can still be heard there, whispering faintly in the twilight.

The fanatics among them became the Scarlet Crusade, and they came back to the monastery in force, and drove out the scourge that still lingered there.

One of them, a brother William Powell, cleared the spiders from its sacred halls, and was poisoned doing it.

and when the building was fully theirs, the crusade gave it a new name, the Scarlet Monastery.

The place where a troll had once been taught the light by the books of the church became the fortress of an order that believed every non-human was a carrier of the plague and must be destroyed.
