Yeah, it was wild.

Actually, my first ever game was against the Riders, and I had the, uh, Save-On-Foods fan meter that I was holding, so it showed how loud the fans were.

And the Elks had it on the Riders one-yard line, and were in 0 and 3.

And then they sent it to me to try to get the fans going, and literally, like, the only, the only sound movement that was happening was either swearing or Riders fans that were fired up that they got the big stop.

Anyway, to get to my question is, why does Save On Foods never have, and I mean never, have Okanagan or BC fruit in BC or local fruit? It's always in Washington.

We go to the Okanagan every year for almost 40 years.

and politely ask every time, where is the Okanagan fruit? Why aren't there no peaches from the Okanagan here? It's right here.

It becomes a new and different product during the manufacturing process.

And so it was mentioned that you get up to 50% Canadian content requirement in order for it to be included.

When it comes to the question of save on foods and where they source from, if you are a more of a discount retailer, you are very focused on price.

And so the number one motivator that many of the customers have tends to be what is the cost? When you're talking about Costco, you're also talking about a company that not only has incredible economies of scale with stores all over North America, really they're in 10 countries, but they have also invested heavily in having some of the best supply chain management in the world.

Totally.

I don't know what the status on that, but I know that Save On Foods is one of the biggest donors to BC Children's Hospital, and they do it through order bumps.

Why would they not consider putting like small Tim Hortons in Canadian Tires just like Walmart is doing with McDonald's?

Especially when you look at Safeway in Western Canada has Starbucks in all their locations, Save On Foods as well in Western Canada.

Target in the U.S. with Starbucks,

We would regularly go out on late-night walks around where we lived, especially in the summer, and would often end up at the local elementary school's playground because it had swings and structures that we could sit on.

One night, during the summer, as usual, we went to Save On Foods, one of our local grocery stores, for some snacks and drinks, then walked up to the park to sit on our favorite swing set.

My sister and I had been chilling there for a while, talking and laughing about the normal BS, when I heard what sounded like something hard dropping from the sky onto the gravel a little ways in front of us.

I don't remember exactly what I thought of it at first, but I knew that it wasn't rain, hail, or any sort of natural substance you would expect to fall from the sky.
