Save Ferris

That's a new classic.

For our Sky fans, Come on Eileen by Save Ferris and Hungry Like a Wolf from Real Big Fish are both solid.

Oh, nice.

That Come on Eileen cover from Mallrats, right?

Yeah.

And I mean, we played a show last year with Save Ferris.

Oh, wow.

And we're not a ska band.

Um, she's really dug on stuff like that.

Uh, and then o- obviously, like some more '90s pop ska, so like Save Ferris, Reel Big Fish.

The production on Reel Big Fish is so clean.

I've never heard horns recorded so sharp and precise for some of the worst lyricists in pop music.

... quick dirty of it.

Uh, it's definitely a Save Ferris thing.

Mm-hmm.

Yeah, I believe their guitar player came up with it.

... a thing that was like, "You know, we, we don't have to listen to what, what you guys are saying.

Like, we're, we're gonna play the show 'cause we need to play the show", and da, da, da, da, da.

And, and the comments were getting really contentious, um, between, between the Save Ferris camp and kind of the ska punk, you know, uh, fan base.

And, and I just feel like every time, uh, Save Ferris was, was kinda putting a new thing out, they were, like, taking this kind of, like, s- stance that I didn't really like.

Yes.

Goldfinger, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Hep Cat, Save Ferris, Zaggy Ta.

Oh.

And that's kinda the end of any of the ska reggae style bands, but yeah, it was a very ska-heavy soundtrack that's hard to find.

There's something I hate about you.

Another top coolest woman that you're gonna ask me is the lead singer of Save Ferris or Letters to Cleo.

Are they the same?

I don't know any of the words you just said.
