Savatage

Hit number 49 on the Billboard albums chart, it had the top 10 smash Walk on Water and also the Love in Your Eyes.

In 1991, heavy metal group Savatage released their sixth studio album called Streets of Rock Opera.

This one had as its theme the rise and fall of a fictional down-and-out musician named DT Jesus.

Even with all that going for it, it still didn't do anything on the charts, unfortunately.

Okay, so we're moving from Motörhead.

Moving to, from 13 we're going to 14, Savatage-

Sava-

... to Sirens.

And a lot of people, a lot of the death metal bands, the Florida death metal scene-

Yeah

... wo- loved going to the Savatage shows-

Ah

You gave us a lot of great music over the years.

All right, last week John wanted to hear new Savatage.

I didn't have it on me.

I brought it down today.

One was all this hard rock and heavy metal.

So it literally looks like my record collection, all purchased at Rolling Stone Records, still in the shrink wrap, still with the $4.99 price sticker on it, a lot of major label metal, bands like Savatage and Riot and...

Faster Pussycat and Badlands was another one.

That's a triple digit record.

for sure.

All right, so my last pick here, this is a band called Savatage, S-A-V-A-T-A-G, Savatage, or as William Shatter would call them, Savatage.

You say Savatage, I say Savatage.

This is from their album Dead, Winter Dead, and this is a song called Christmas Eve, Sarajevo, 1224.

Bye.

It's just not really my thing.

But I do have exceptions, and this is one of them.

It's Savatage's most well-known song, I believe.

I don't know that much about Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Paul O'Neill also connected to Savatage, I believe.

Okay.

All right.

Okay.

All right.
