Savage Land

Or at least deactivated, they are robots after all.

Ratchet, the only Autobot still alive, journeys to the Savage Land to recover the Dinobots, lost there some four million years earlier, fighting the Decepticon Shockwave, who has recently returned and is currently leader of the Decepticons.

Ratchet had only narrowly avoided destruction at the hands of Megatron in the previous issue by promising to defeat the upstart Shockwave, but had to promise to forfeit his own life should he fail to do so.

Once the Dinobots have recovered, Ratchet sends a message to Megatron indicating his success, and arranges to meet Megatron a safe distance away from the Autobot spacecraft, the Ark, which had been captured by the Decepticons but is now abandoned.

He has a really good organic feel to his art.

He's definitely got some Frank Miller early work, but he's very good on the technical side.

They're in the Savage Land, just to say.

Ratchet is in the Savage Land, which is a little bit of a tie-in to the regular Marvel Universe here.

I was buying it.

And so I'm reading this story, and in the story, Maximus has taken over the Savage Land.

things like we've got the guns from the two gun kid and you can see some dinosaur eggs from the savage land and also the tomb of apocalypse is here like we found like a case from an uh like uh a pyramid and brought it here the world's fair if you look it up this is where they debuted like the first ferris wheel they would do like crazy things with electricity and like have food from all over the place and they would also like bring in indigenous people from like the north pole or the the like the the congo and like make them live in like an enclosure and like let people take pictures of them like their jungle animals like lots of crazy shit go look up the history of like world's fairs so This is where Vanko and Marmaduke Dix are unveiling the Iron Dynamo, and Dix mutters, take that, Thomas Edison.

Rusty's laughing every time I say Marmaduke Dix.

Creed and Dragonfire in this issue kill a bunch of vampires.

And then they cuddle and they talk about how they don't want to lose each other.

And then they're like, maybe we should just move to the savage land and then everything can be savage and it will be great.

um yeah i so When they crash land in the Savage Land and there's this ship full of heroes who come out and many of them are the heroes that we've been following the whole time.

Many of them are Avengers, core Avengers.

And you don't know how many of them are actually Skrulls or not because they're all claiming not to be.

I'm not saying there shouldn't.

But no forward momentum.

They spend the entirety of the event in the Savage Land.

huh it's i haven't read reread it in a long time i remember loving it actually i remember thinking it was rad as hell and the neil you are still holds up

Then when you were tapped to come back for season two, you were also given only 13 episodes.

So in that span of time, it was, well, what would happen if dad goes away, you know, which was Xavier and Magneto in the Savage Lands.

And then that gave a great opportunity to see, focus on each of the characters individually, having his or her own personal journey, personal struggles.

Then when you came back for season three, that's when they gave you a bigger order.

Marvel Studios reportedly introduced Kazar and the Savage Land in Black Panther 3.

I desperately want this.

Kazar is like the Tarzan looking dude with blonde hair.

I don't know.

It's hard for me to say I'm a big fan of the character.

I just like the vibes of Savage Land.

And the only, the closest glimmer we've got of that is one of those brief trippy sequences in, again, Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness when he was like in a Savage Land-y kind of world.
