Saunton

I think it's massively underrated.

We'll start in Somerset with Burnham and Barrow, then you go down to Royal North Devon, the two Saunton horses, Bude, St. Anadark, Trevose, Newquay, Perranporth, West Cornwall, which, of course, is Jim Barnes' home course, or Harry Hall, if you want a more modern reference.

Even if you go around the corner to Mullion, which is right down by Land End, I think it's the most southerly golf course in the UK.

But it's just mental.

A couple of times a year we visit and you do our reports and we all meet up once a year down at whatever golf course.

And last year was Saunton.

It was Saunton.

And you were in your element at Saunton, weren't you? I was, yeah.

Saunton's a very special place.

That seems like Sophie's happy place down there.

Yeah, I think so.

And I guess I am lucky in the sense that a lot of the golf course that I do visit are just in generally amazing landscapes anyway.
