My guest today is one of Indonesia's best known entrepreneurs and public figures, and has seen Indonesia's economy from almost every different angle.

In the depths of the Asian financial crisis in the 90s, he co-founded Saratoga, which grew into one of Indonesia's largest listed investment companies with stakes in copper, coal, nickel, telecom towers, and most recently, climate businesses like rooftop solar.

He then moved into public life, serving as the deputy governor of Jakarta and then minister of tourism and the creative economy from 2020 to 2024.

Most recently, he became chair of Mutang Agang Lestari International, a certification company expanding into carbon verification.

Yeah.
