Sarah McVie

I don't know if he would accept that title or not.

Sarah McVie is an actor who is running for mayor.

One of her ideas is to round up all the vacant city-owned buildings, repurpose them, and release them for co-op ownership models.

McVie is also a member of the Black Creek Flood Coalition.

We're talking about the future of Toronto, the importance of community, and the role arts and culture can play in making our city a better place to live.

So today my guest is someone many Canadians can recognize from their television screens, Sarah McVie.

Sarah McVie is a Canadian actor known for playing Val Zielinski in the comedy series Working Moms.

Her career also included theater and other screen work, and now she's taking on some very different role, and that is running for mayor of Toronto.

She's a candidate for mayor of Toronto.

And I'll just get right to the point here.

Joining us today is Sarah McVie.

And I'm going to go as far to say is that Sarah McVie and I are friends.

We've known each other for a number of years.

And I had the unbelievable opportunity to do a couple of episodes of Workin' Moms that you can see on Netflix.

It's one of their most successful sitcoms.

But let me tell you about Sarah McVie.

She is a... dynamic freaking woman, I'll tell you that much.
