Now starting off, Dan Tominski's live rendition of I'm a Man of Constant Sorrow at the Ryman Auditorium stands as a highlight of his 2024 album Live from the Ryman.

Originally a traditional folk song dating back to the early 20th century, it gained widespread acclaim through Tominski's vocals in the 2000 film O Brother Where Art Thou? earning a Grammy Award in 2002.

Now, Sarah Jarosz entered the music scene at 17 by signing a recording contract with Sugar Hill Records while still in high school.

Her debut album showcased her exceptional skills as a mandolinist, banjo player, and guitarist, earning her recognition as a prodigy in bluegrass and Americana genres.

Yeah, maybe so.

I think it's certainly with the younger players, everybody, you know, the level of instrumentality ability has gotten so high in the what the last 20 years or so 20 25 years um i think everybody's trying to keep up with that bar and right and keep raising it um yeah i don't know though you know you do have these great great singers still um You got Sarah Jarosz, you know, and you got Dan Tominski is still out there.

And the younger players, though, I don't know.

That's an interesting thing.

I, um, I, you know, I got to play once with Ivo Donovan on a gig and actually with Dave, this trumpeter named David, Dave Douglas, who both of them to me are heroes.

And I, either of them again to play with would be, uh, absolutely great.

Um, same with Sarah Jarosz, any of the, any, um, I mean, you know, if Alison Krauss asked me to play, I'd probably say, I think you got the wrong number.

But I would, you know.

Then the Texan folk rocker Sarah Jarosz.

Lovely voice, and she knows how to write a good song.

Um, and so I, I reached out to women in the scene who had been big influence to me in my journey through bluegrass and, and being a touring musician.

People like Courtney Hartman and Sierra Hull and Sarah Jarosz and Molly Tuttle, uh, Hazel Siaco.

I got my bandmates, Emma Rose and Willa Frank.

Brittany Haas, of course, I fell in love with, with her work with Crooked Still.
