Sarah Curran

It exists.

Robert Emmet was engaged to, uh, Sarah Curran, as we know.

She's far from the land where her young hero sleeps.

And Sarah's older sister was Amelia Curran, and she's my narrator.

And the nexus of connection was an Irish woman called Amelia Curran.

She was the older sister of Sarah Curran, Robert Emmet's sweetheart, and she had inherited a small annuity after her father, John Philpott Curran, died, and she wanted to be an artist.

At that time, women couldn't train to be artists.

They weren't allowed to do life drawing.
