Sarah Cowper

And I came across a woman's diaries.

The woman's called Sarah Cowper, and she lives just at the end of the 17th century.

The diaries span from the end of the 17th century into the 18th.

And she was saying...

"That's really weird.

I wonder if anybody's written anything about that." And it turned out nobody had.

So that was my master's thesis, this thing about breast cancer and Sarah Cowper's diaries.

And then my PhD thesis, I looked at cancer in general over this period.
