So can you walk us through the design, the population, what the protocol was, and what you were trying to understand?
9:10
Yeah.
9:11
So kind of walking us through the design, it-- the goal of the study was un- to understand what happens to skeletal muscle metabolism and skeletal muscle mass when we have people go through these periods of simulated convalescence.
9:24
And so in plainer terms, what happens when, you know, you have a two-week period of your life where you're really limited in what you can do.
9:31
And it's funny because now I've, I've been thinking a lot more about it.
9:36
I do a lot of more work now in, in surgery, and so I'm seeing that firsthand and then probably TMI for everyone listening to your podcast [chuckles], but a couple weeks ago, actually, I had shingles, and I had this exact same experience, which is ultimately where, you know, you go through a period of time where your physical activity is pretty limited.
9:55
And when I say limited, I mean very drastically limited, right? You're not feeling well, and this could result from a bunch of things.

Can you walk us through some of the research you've done there and what you were specifically wanting to test?
