Taylor Swift saying simply, "A world without Dolly doesn't feel possible, real, or right." Her goddaughter, Miley Cyrus, called the loss she was experiencing, "Beyond what feels right to share." This, by the way, is a look at the growing collection of tributes to the Dolly Parton statue not far from where she grew up in eastern Tennessee.

CNN's Sara Sidner is outside Nashville where she lived and joins us now from there.

What's the scene like d- uh, Sara?

Yeah, it's beautiful because all day long people have been coming and bringing messages, notes, flowers.

Anderson.

[laughs] Yeah, let's hope.

And I look back, and then I still see that my music seems to be important, and that young women especially, which I love that, that they can look to me to say, "Dolly had the strength to do it," or, "She got through it." That's really humbling, and it makes me feel proud, and I just thank God for it.

Let's go live to CNN anchor and senior national correspondent Sara Sidner, who's in Nashville for us.

Sara, what is the mood on the ground there right now?

Look, it's somber, but it's also gleeful in the sense that they get to remember all that Dolly was and all that she did for this town, uh, and for the world.

Wolf.

And as we say, may she rest in peace, and may her memory be a blessing.

We're gonna continue looking at the extraordinary life of Dolly Parton, including her advocacy for the l- LBGT- T- LBGTQ+ community, which included her very vocal support, uh, for years, and even writing a song, Traveling Through, for the movie Transamerica, which earned her an Oscar nomination.

Republicans own the results.

Sidner was right to note that Republicans hold all of the power in Washington.

That should be the beginning of the analysis, not an aside.

If Republicans control the levers and the pain is rising, then the blame has a clear address.

And so I'm glad you brought this up about the media because I have a photograph of a lady who works for CNN and her name is Sarah Sidner.

Do you know Sarah? I may know her if I see her.

Well, she's pretty – she got – after she lied about me in a story she did on Anderson Cooper on CNN, she came out here to Arizona and came to my home.

So she didn't set up there.

And I said, why don't we just, why don't you have me come to your studio? Why do you need to come out here and bring your cameraman and your assistant? She brought her assistant, the lady in the back, she's the liar assistant.

That is Sarah Sidner sitting right across from me right there.

And she's been promoted.

Mm-hmm.
