Sara Netanyahu

A hacker claims to have breached phones belonging to people in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's inner circle.

This week, the hacker leaked photos and videos allegedly stolen from the Prime Minister's wife, Sara Netanyahu, his advisor, Yonatan Uric, and Israel's Ambassador to the UAE, Yossi Shelley.

Israeli newspaper Haaretz has verified some of the leaked content.

The leaks come just weeks before Israel's legislative elections, which are scheduled to be held on October 27.

So there are three cases.

Case 1000 is about gifts, where Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, allegedly received about 700,000 shekels worth of cigars and champagne and jewelry from billionaires Arnon Milchan, and the Australian connection here, James Packer.

And Netanyahu allegedly did favors for Milchan in exchange for these.

Case 2000 is a little bit different.

And that was to go and show how, you know, his status in Israeli politics is no less than, you know, a king.

And this is, this is also used, of course, in Israeli public rhetoric, Bibi HaMelech, Rak Bibi, these kind of slogans that are very much around his singularity in Israeli politics.

But let's talk about his family, because with Bibi being the king, what does that imply for his children? What does that imply for his wife? Sarah Netanyahu has always been in the public eye and has always been in the eye of the media, criticized by the media for what she wears, for what she says, and, and also with a few scandals around her, right? Sarah has been accused of being over-involved without a security clearance in some very major decisions, including very important appointments.

And it's, uh, well-known, you know, it's, uh, it's, uh, well-known as a rumor, but it's almost fact, right? That she is incredibly involved in who makes appointments within the Likud, and that different Likud members and Likud ministers have to kind of, you know, pass the Sarah test to make it in and to make it to certain appointments.

We've not seen a really alternative strategy or direction for Israel presented.

What we have seen is condemnation across the political spectrum of whether or not Netanyahu or Sarah Netanyahu engaged in some degree of corruption, whether or not, certainly if he lied about the October 7th attacks, that is something that they will weaponize against

him.

Yeah.

Well, yeah.

Condemn Sara Netanyahu.

Within Israel's domestic sphere, retired IDF Brigadier General Amal Assad, who has been wounded and bereaved, has criticised the nation-state law's impact on the Druze community, stating it makes them feel like guests in their own home.

He also made critical remarks about political figures including Nia Barkat and Sara Netanyahu.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu offered a blessing to IDF soldiers and security forces, praying for their protection and for the defeat of their enemies from Lebanon to the Egyptian desert.

On the diplomatic front, a report from Israel Today suggests that Israel's diplomatic security discourse is being negatively impacted by pre-election populism.
