You also compiled your columns for the New York Daily News, and went further in your book, Fallout: The Environmental Consequences of the World Trade Center Collapse.

We are speaking today in New York City, on the day that Mayor Zoran Mamdani is releasing 170,000 pages of documents, um, about what the city understood about, uh, the toxins at Ground Zero, something you were reporting from the beginning.

I'm wondering if you could read, um, what you were writing at that time, and then we're gonna go to a firefighter, former EMT, a student at Stuyvesant High School that was right near Ground Zero, the union chief, Sara Nelson, and WBAI head, Bob Hennelly, who's been reporting on this 25 years later.

But Juan, your reporting was prescient.

wow okay gentlemen please stand by i want to talk to michael a little bit more about what that means he tried to bite someone michael said him losing his job is the least of his problems right now because it could just go beyond assault it could go into other things now I want you, gentlemen, please stand by because there's much more I want to ask you, Richard and Michael, I want to ask you as well.

She is the International President of the Association of Flight Attendants.

She's a United Airlines flight attendant since 1996.

So much so that when we did land actually in Baltimore, I turned to Juan and said, thank God the trip is finally over.

He said, what are you what are you talking about we're in baltimore i thought he was joking at first i said what are you what are you talking about you know they diverted the flight i'm like oh okay so i get it so i was like kind of hearing it in the background but i wasn't like sort of paying attention um obviously you know i was i was really attending to what was happening

As New York prepares to commemorate the 25th anniversary of 9/11, Mayor Zohran Mamdani has ordered the release of more than 170,000 records, suggesting New Yorkers were misled about the air quality in the aftermath of the attacks.
