So this feels like a really good place for her to have something to do, washing, cleaning the world of humanity and its foul impact on the land.

I'd say similarly, I was envisioning my character as sort of like a feminist reclamation and subversion of the Cinderella archetype.

So like she definitely had a childhood where an evil stepmother and stepsisters doomed her to do a lot of chores.

So she would have been doing a lot of washing.

But then in her case, she decided the washing was done and sort of set off for herself.
