And so the first course that Weaving Remembrance ever put on was this seven or eight week online course called Songs of Mother Europe, where every week we would meet with a different song carrier on Zoom from around Europe and we'd get to in contact with these older lineages of songs, like the first one we did.

We had one of our Sami teachers sharing the Yoik tradition from the Sápmi lands in northern Norway.

And we had somebody doing yodeling, and we had a Greek woman sharing one of the oldest songs ever written down in human history.
