Santa Rosa North station

A little further to the south, Smart runs past a microyard, Fulton Yard, which is, I believe, only used for maintenance-of-way vehicles, and then passes through some fields.

But then upon reaching Santa Rosa North, we find the first double track of the system.

Downtown Santa Rosa itself is actually a really cute little community, although it has a very weird urban renewal mega-mall that is, uh, less inspiring.

But the town actually punches rather far above its weight, especially in terms of IP, as it's the home of Charles Schulz, of Peanuts comic strip fame, and also the Red River Brewing Company, which is a humongously famous microbrewery on the Pacific coast.
