Matthew Ridgway, under Eisenhower's guidance, flies into Bruce Clark at St. Vith in the middle of the Fifth Panzer Army trying to attack the United States during the Battle of the Bulge and succeeding very well at that point.

And Matthew tells it, "Circle your wagons and do this," and Clark says, "Aye, sir.

Get out of here." He gets in his plane, flies away, and Clark says, "Absolute idiot.

They have to fly by the seat of their pants.

Well, a couple of bad mistakes were made by the division commander, Major General Jones, who's back in further back at the town of St. Vith in Belgium.

And he's got two regiments that are intact.
