And then you kind of veered off that and you've gone into the tech world.

Why is that? um so how i got into tech it wasn't something that was initially planned um the main kind of problem we're trying to solve was around democratizing access to space um specifically you know becoming aware of the spatial inequalities in cape town due to apartheid spatial planning and how Certain people didn't have access to resources or information because of their geolocation in the urban context.

So initially the business, we opened up a space in Cape Town CBD, opened it up to young black African creative entrepreneurs.

for them to learn skills and to sell products.

But then we soon realized that there were certain spatial, like physical spatial constraints in terms of occupancy, and we couldn't scale our impact within the physical space.

So then that's when we then pivoted into digital spaces and started designing online learning platforms, not only for ourselves, but for other companies that were moving in the same direction.

And then we realized there was another issue that we hadn't really considered before was around connectivity, whereas the world was moving towards digital, but people were getting left behind because they didn't have access.
