Sandy Dennis plays sort of a lonely, middle-aged, well-to-do woman.

woman who finds a young boy one cold day in the park you know a boy a young man looking very cold and lonely himself on a bench outside of her apartment and she welcomes in into her home and a very odd relationship develops between the two of them that sort of tests his patience and her sanity and the film goes from sort of like a subtle nuanced drama into more horror film territory and you know looking at the picture it's it's a funny film it's it's one that I had avoided seeing this was the first time I ever saw it and it was one that had a reputation I think of you know being sort of like well it's not quite an all-man picture yet or it's not one of his best or it's not it's it's for completists only that sort of thing and I wasn't expecting really to like it I was expecting it to be very cold and you know cold day in the park but very cold and sort of detached and sort of what i always thought images would be like as well um and i actually ended up really liking the movie and finding it you know more odd than anything else like it's very peculiar picture and i'd never really been that big a fan of sandy dennis either and i i think i avoided it because i thought well this is a sandy dennis picture like she's the star she's not just a co-star here But I found like she was perfectly cast in this part.

She has a face right out of a painting, an old Victorian painting or something.

She has this great

It does really feel like they are sticking to the script, and even perhaps more so.

And the people that I was working with, I loved.

I mean, Sandy Dennis, we became, you know, she became like my older sister.

And, you know, and Jason was... amazing and you know whenever we got to spend time together away from the show he was amazing and bill daniels
