The motivation was probably something you'll have to ask the government, because I've scratched my head on that one as well, whether they're trying to free up some costs incurred by FPC.

So if they're going to continue that and get rid of FPC, is that going to be something that the taxpayers are going to have to fund going forward? So there's just so many unanswered questions.

When you wrote that article, was there something originally that made you stop and think, huh, like there's something more interesting here? Was it all the aesthetic aspects you were just talking about, or was there something more specific?

Well, when you see the board, it's so striking, like different elements of its design, the inlays, the colors used.

There are some Tibetan go boards that have more than nine star points.

But of course, they use a different symbol like circles or crosses or even just dots in the center.

So this star point design that you see on the Sandalwood board, it's a very compelling piece of evidence, especially for the time period that the board was created in.

So it is from the 700s, so it's 1,300 years old.

The scent of flowers does not travel against the wind, nor that of sandalwood, or of tagara and malika flowers, but the odor of good people travels even against the wind.
