We had a great time.

Um, a little disappointed with the Sandals.

We stayed at Sandals originally, and that was a little disappointing.

Um, the food was kinda poopy.

But, um, we went to Young Island after that, and everything was amazing there, so we had a great time.

Yeah.

So you're saying Sandals was a flip-flop?

[laughs] It was, it was pretty much just the flop.

By the second half of the 20th century, the Madalons were well known by entrepreneurs worldwide.

Today, ICD's president is on the board of the Sandals Resort chain, and the Madalons have had big plans for developing resorts of their own on the island.

Ian's identity as a Madalon didn't just mean he had money.

It meant he knew real estate, too, and not just its value monetarily, but equally importantly, as a cultural signifier.

yes so ashley loves vacay helpful and a beat i stumbled across this podcast while searching for reviews on sandals and grill after booking a last minute trip i have now listened to over half of the podcast and have found even more places to add to my go-to list i love all the banter back and forth and the pros and cons honestly so important and worth its weight in gold especially when spending this kind of money on a vacation i appreciate all of your research and tips and my husband and i both love your youtube channel as well

I've gone as a friend's group, yeah.

So, I mean, that is an option.

Now, so with sandals, so technically, like I said, it's couples only.

They only have king beds in all of the rooms, but they are starting to kind of – I don't want to say get away from that, but they're testing the waters with one other resort where they're adding rooms with two queen beds.

I say it all the time.

I go to Sandals every year for a week, minimum.

And I say to people, that's a multi-billion dollar brand.

Built in Jamaica, but extended to Antigua and St. Louis.

Ryan and I are going on a couples trip to Sandals in Jamaica, and I'm so excited.
