I think of all the people this year with... two movies which are a lot like robert pattinson we're gonna say like for maybe like odyssey and dune or whatever in terms of sandra huler sandra huler for digger and project hail mary or she has rose and fatherland and the lead actress and zendaya with a bunch of different movies they're probably not taken as seriously as a contender for like the drama or whatever all that said i think penelope cruz could definitely get in because the category is again like not the deepest and especially if anne hathaway moves into lead that'll open up certainly another spot because right now i think you would say like anne hathaway and probably samantha morton from the odyssey i think people really responded to her and like she's got a great story and is obviously beloved actress so they could both get in but if anne's not there then maybe penelope gets the double nomination

Returning to the festival movies of these three, was there anything that you found that you were really looking forward to that was a disappointment? I mean, it can still be a good movie, but that, you know, you were expecting something else or...

like honestly like this year there was not I wish I could I like I you know I love being disappointed I love like nagging some of these things but there really wasn't this year to me like a lot that I was like oh that just missed I guess like it wasn't a serious contender but it just wasn't my favorite Andrew Haig movie I would say a long winter I thought was like a little a little bit disappointing in terms of like his previous output and that said though I still talk to people who really liked it and like I think there are elements of that movie that are like noteworthy you know like in terms of like it's cinematography and like there's a lot of things there's pieces of that movie that i think work but that one was like a little bit flat in terms of the response but everything else i feel like was like almost if not exceed like added my expectations exceeded my expectations which is very rare because like we know like when you go to these festivals and you're very excited for things you see them and you're just like oh but that didn't really work or, Oh boy.

Like, you can't do shit with these big motherfuckers.

And after they meet the big motherfucker, they go to meet Cersei the Witch, played by Samantha Morton.

When I saw Samantha Morton, I said, oh, I watched Walking Dead.

You're alpha.

You're not a good person.

Odyssey was cool.

They met the witch named Cersei.

I said, that's Samantha Morton.

Like, you know, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, like they're such tiny roles just to kind of make it seem like this massive, massive blockbuster.

Whereas the standout character for me really was Samantha Morton.

This really weird character who was sort of you know, eating or was she turning these people into animals? And oh my God, it was just like really, yeah, bizarre, bizarre, but really good, amazing role she played.

But other than that, I'm now speaking like sort of a month later, I'm just like, I just don't remember anything.

Um, so speaking of like Agatha and Samantha Morton, she does a decent job.

Um, There's a part when you were talking about her, it just made me think of it.

And I'm laughing because my wife made me laugh pretty hard.

that is he i don't think so okay but like still he's so good at like having a lot of different moving parts and like tones throughout his movies like there's a lot of good a lot going on so i think he's he'll be good for screenplay this year All right, Wild Horse 9, you got that, Matt? Yep.

I feel like even on vibes, if they were to pick something from the Odyssey, it would be Samantha Morton, but she has so much less screen time, even with that decision.
