Sam Merrill

So, like, if you think of the teams we've played so far, you get Jaden in a switch on, like you said, a Keaton Wagler, a Darius Garland.

Last game when he was on pods, the game four, it was Sam Merrill guarding Jada McDaniels.

you get Jade in the ball and you let him go to work and you kind of just clear out to the weak side.

It's I'm willing to take my chances with Jada McDaniels over a majority of people in the NBA that are going to be seeing reasonable minutes that are a fourth, fifth tier defender on that.

So that sort of evaporated.

Sam Merrill was also shooting the ball well.

So that helped with it being able to just kind of not play him as much.

But again, like with Watson, it's not that the minutes are super low.

I think – I hope they're understanding of that.

I hope the Cleveland brass is aware of that because Sam Merrill is just a more polished player than he is at this point.

Sam Merrill made some

big shots last night.

He got a quick trigger.

Sam Merrill is more polished

than Peyton Watson?

Yeah, he just is more developed.

Donovan Mitchell had a really nice night, scored 26 points.

Everybody was shooting really well from three, except for our three-point specialist, Sam Merrill, who went one for six.

Hazonia also struggled a bit, but Hazonia is just...

Such a big dude that he affects the game in so many other ways.

Let's run down the floor, shoot a three, and run back.

Sam Merrill was on fire in the first half.

Thank goodness.

Big deal.

He was rumored to go to the Milwaukee Bucks, and he has not started off the season great at all, just 12 points per game for this team.

Sam Merrill, Jalen Tyson, Mario Hazonia somehow found his way back into the NBA and is playing for this Cleveland Cavaliers squad.

We'll see how long that lasts for him throughout this season.

Tyrese Proctor and Craig Porter Jr., that rounds out the roster for this team.

Harden, 36-24.

Sam Merrill.

Not

really seeing anything.

He won't have the energy to play defense.

He won't have the energy to you know create in the way that he used to and so I think if you take him off ball more often can we see him try and be a floor spacer right like he's a fantastic three-point shooter he's a great catch and shoot threat at no point in his career has that really been leveraged and I think the Cavs are in a position where they could try and leverage that a little bit more he's not going to be Sam Merrill he's not going to be Kyle Korver or anything like that but I think there's potential there.

I think there's untapped success that James Harden could have as an off-ball player, as an off-ball spacer.

And I don't know if it's because he's been so dominant on ball that there was never a need for him to develop that.
