I'm excited to join." And how did you overcome that challenge of building a team that really didn't have a national profile to the powerhouse that it is today, while really just bonding with these players, and they seem to just really like love playing with you and want to play for you?

Well, the tides are turning in what I'm about to say, but when I first re- um, so I took over five years ago, and I just think that in the volleyball world, in a lot of areas of life, there's a lot of people afraid to go all out or touch every piece, or there's a embarrassment piece to try to make everything great.

Like I, I decided when I got to SMU, we were gonna do everything full throttle, you know, and make everything great and not be embarrassed or scared or feel like, "Hey, we're not ready to have great social media." No, we're gonna have great social media and start telling a story right away.

It doesn't matter if we haven't won yet.

There's still cool stories to tell, and we're gonna go all out.

I wanna have the best social media in the country, and I think that was a little bit unique.

Now I see a lot of people kind of doing that, but I think we were one of the first to start telling all of our girls' stories and making that really great and memorable.

... you know, highlight clips? Are you, are you going to tournaments? Like, what kind of personalities are you looking for? Like, what, what is kind of the Sam Urger recruiting mindset when you go out and you're looking for new players?
